Lord Jesus Christ, who loves your Church
and wishes for Her this season of grace,
let us embrace openly and with joy
this opportunity of becoming a “Synodal Church.”
Let us be a listening Church, making a pause
of our routines and pastoral concerns
to listen to Your Spirit and our brothers and sisters,
letting their hopes move our hearts.
Give us attitudes of closeness, compassion, and tender love
to be live signs of a Church with Your style,
taking You in our presence and words
and weaving bonds of friendship with everyone, assuming the fragilities
and poverty of our time, bandaging wounds
and healing broken hearts with Your balm, oh Lord.
