For the Synod 2021-2023, we propose to use this simplified version, so that any group or liturgical assembly can pray more easily.<\/p>\n<p>We stand before You, Holy Spirit,<br \/>\nas we gather together in Your name.<br \/>\nWith You alone to guide us,<br \/>\nmake Yourself at home in our hearts;<br \/>\nTeach us the way we must go<br \/>\nand how we are to pursue it.<br \/>\nWe are weak and sinful;<br \/>\ndo not let us promote disorder.<br \/>\nDo not let ignorance lead us down the wrong path<br \/>\nnor partiality influence our actions.<br \/>\nLet us find in You our unity<br \/>\nso that we may journey together to eternal life<br \/>\nand not stray from the way of truth<br \/>\nand what is right.<br \/>\nAll this we ask of You,<br \/>\nwho are at work in every place and time,<br \/>\nin the communion of the Father and the Son,<br \/>\nforever and ever. Amen.<\/p>\n<p><em>Title revised from Latin, to have a proper incipit, different from the Adsumus Dominus Sancte Spiritus. The Caeremoniale Episcoporum 1984ss., n. 1173, only proposes the use of the Adsumus but does not give the text. The German version Das Zeremoniale f\u00fcr die Bisch\u00f6fe, n. 1188, gives a German translation based on the Latin text of the Acta Synodalia of the Council, vol.
