Being People of God<\/p>\n
Lord Jesus Christ, our brother and friend,
\non this day of your Resurrection,
\nwe have so much to celebrate
\nand to rejoice in.
\nYou have chosen us,
\nwe are your People, the chosen.
\nWe are called and sent to be the Church
\nthat walks in communion with you.
\nYet this is not a privilege,
\nbut a gift to be shared,
\na vocation, a mission, a responsibility.
\nSend your Spirit upon us,
\nto bear witness with deeds
\nto this gift of being your followers,
\nin whom you place your love and confidence.
\nMay our lives help others
\nto know you and accept your love.
\nMay the life of the whole Church reflect
\nyour style, your way, and your gestures.
\nMay the synodal style be incarnated in us,
\nwalking together, listening to each other,
\ngiving ourselves to one another.
